Looking for a summer program that’s both fun and educational? At Falls River Music, our Summer Music Camps give kids and teens the chance to learn, perform, and create music in a supportive, band-style environment. Designed for beginner and intermediate students ages 8 and up, our camps bring together young musicians from across the Triangle area—Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Wake Forest, and beyond—to experience what it’s like to be in a real band.
Conveniently located right off the 540 freeway in North Raleigh, these week-long day camps provide individual and group music instruction, hands-on experience in songwriting and recording, and the thrill of performing live on stage. Students are grouped by age and ability, ensuring that every camper learns at the right pace while having a great time making music with new friends.
Throughout the week, campers will:
Form a band, choose a name, and take official band photos
Learn and rehearse popular rock and pop songs of their choice
Write and record original music using our on-site stage and digital recording studio
Explore music fundamentals, basic theory, and rhythm skills
Gain hands-on experience with recording software, mixing, and sound engineering
Receive individual and group instruction from our professional teachers on guitar, drums, piano, bass, violin, cello, brass, woodwinds, and voice
End the week by performing a live concert for family and friends on our in-store stage, complete with mics, lights, amps, drums, and keyboards
Above all, campers will have fun, build confidence, and make lasting friendships through the power of music.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Falls River Music, North Raleigh (Falls River Town Center)
Concert Performance: Friday afternoon showcase on our stage
Our facilities include a full performance stage, PA system, lights, amps, and everything needed for a real band experience.
Lunch Break: 12:00–1:00 PM daily
Campers may bring a packed lunch (labeled with their name) or purchase food at the Falls River Music Snack Bar and nearby restaurants
Snacks and drinks available for purchase; water provided free all day
Microwave, freezer, and refrigerator available for student use
All campers are supervised and taught by our patient, professional instructors, each with years of experience performing and teaching. Students receive both individual lessons and group coaching, covering a variety of instruments and musical skills.
No prior enrollment at Falls River Music is required—our Summer Music Camps are open to all!
Intermediate Camps (for students with approx. 1 year of consistent experience):
July 14–18, 2025 (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM)
July 28–Aug 1, 2025 (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM)
Aug 11–15, 2025 (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM)
Beginner Camps (for students with little to no experience) – Dates TBA.
Cost: $295 per week (30 hours of instruction, concert, and band photos included)
Deposit: 10% required to reserve your spot
Deposits are non-refundable, but credit will be applied toward future lessons or camps if cancellation is necessary

Camps are limited to 8–10 participants to ensure each student receives personal attention. A minimum of 4 participants is required to run each camp.
