Music Technology & Production Lessons – Falls River Music

Do you love music and sound but aren’t ready to study a traditional instrument just yet? Our Music Technology & Production lessons are the perfect way to unleash your creativity in a whole new way. Learn how to create songs, beats, and sounds using digital instruments, recording tools, and professional music software—no prior instrument experience required!

What You’ll Learn

These lessons focus on the recording, editing, and production side of music, giving students hands-on experience in modern studio techniques. Each class is customized to the student’s skill level, interests, and preferred music style, ensuring a fun and relevant learning experience.

Key areas of study include:

  • Understanding signal flow, gain structure, and studio setup

  • Microphone selection and placement for recording live instruments and vocals

  • Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) training with free software such as GarageBand or Reaper

  • Editing and mixing techniques, including EQ, compression, plugins, and panning

  • Building songs with both real and digital instruments

  • Incorporating harmony, melody, and rhythm into original projects

  • Using click tracks, layering, and advanced production tools

Through weekly projects, students will complete recordings, practice mixing and sound design, and gradually build their own original tracks.

Tailored to Every Student

The depth and difficulty of each lesson is customized to the student’s experience level and creative goals. Beginners can start by learning the basics of beat-making and song building, while more advanced students can dive into studio engineering and advanced mixing concepts.

Whether you want to create EDM beats, record a live band, or simply experiment with new sounds, our program adapts to your personal music journey.
